Portland Trail Blazers – Trade No. 7 Pick For Another Upgrade
The Portland Trail Blazers pulled off a shrewd move by acquiring Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons to kick start their offseason. That is the first of what should be multiple moves to get the team back on track. The Trail Blazers still have multiple assets to build a trade package with including the No. 7 overall pick.
That selection should be able to land them a very good player. John Collins of the Atlanta Hawks has been one rumored trade target, along with OG Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors. Acquiring either player with Grant already in the fold would give the Trail Blazers a very solid top six to rely on as it is presumed that Anfernee Simons and Jusuf Nurkic will be re-signed, joining Damian Lillard and Josh Hart.
Sacramento Kings – Sign T.J. Warren
Currently riding a 16-year playoff drought, the Sacramento Kings are desperate to snap that streak this upcoming season. They want to add some established players to their roster, which they began ahead of the trade deadline when they acquired Domantas Sabonis from the Indiana Pacers.
Their first big move will be finding a trade partner for the No. 4 overall pick, which earlier was predicted to be the New York Knicks. In free agency, they will follow that up with a sizable signing as they will land T.J. Warren.
Warren has missed all but four games in the last two seasons, but he has the kind of skill set that the Kings are looking for. He is a two-way wing that can knock down 3-pointers, as the last time we saw him healthy he was lighting up the Orlando Bubble in 2022.
San Antonio Spurs – Gregg Popovic Retires
There has been a lot of head coaching movement this offseason as the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings both made hires, bringing in Darvin Ham and Mike Brown. The Charlotte Hornets thought they had Kenny Atkinson, but he decided to remain with the Golden State Warriors, leaving their job vacant for now.
Another vacancy in the league resides with the Utah Jazz, as Quin Snyder stepped down from the role. He was linked to the Lakers’ job before they hired Ham, but he won’t be without a job for long. He will succeed the great Gregg Popovich, who will announce his retirement this offseason.
Popovich is the longest-tenured head coach in the NBA and has the most wins in league history as well. He will go down as one of the best to ever do it.
Toronto Raptors – Trade OG Anunoby
It has been reported that there are a few players unhappy with their roles on the Toronto Raptors. One of those players is reportedly OG Anunoby, who has been coming into his own the last few seasons. On the lookout for a big man this offseason, Anunoby could be used to help land one as he will be traded by the team.

A prototypical two-way wing with immense potential, Anunoby should fetch quite a return package for the Raptors. He has been rumored to be a target of the Portland Trail Blazers, who could use a small forward to round out their lineup. A trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers straight up for Jarrett Allen would be one that could benefit both teams as well.
Utah Jazz – Trade Both All-Stars
There has been a lot of turnover within the Utah Jazz organization in recent years. Changes have been prevalent at every level as ownership and the front office have seen some moves made. This offseason, those changes have reached the court level, as the coaching staff will be different. It won’t stop there, as the roster will undergo changes as well.
Things have run their course when it comes to the All-Star duo of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. The team has not experienced as much success as they had hoped, and their relationship is reportedly beyond repair. As a result, they will be trading not just one, but both of them this offseason.

Gobert is reportedly being traded to appease Mitchell, but some insiders believe it is only a matter of time until Mitchell asks for a trade as well. To avoid being blindsided by that, the Jazz will trade him this offseason as well and get their rebuild started.
Washington Wizards – Start Rebuild, Trade Bradley Beal
This offseason is going to be an important one for the Washington Wizards. They are going to attempt to show Bradley Beal that this is where he should be. Beal just wants to win, and if he feels that can be with the Wizards, he will remain there.
However, he will be presented with an opportunity in free agency to sign elsewhere and will be swayed to leave the nation’s capital. Beal and the Wizards will work on a sign-and-trade for the team that he ends up with, which will be a dark horse team in the Denver Nuggets.
