New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans addressed their need for a ballhandler when they traded for CJ McCollum who played a major part in turning their season around and getting them into the postseason and ultimately the playoffs. Still though, the Pellies could certainly use another playmaker on the roster as McCollum is more of a score-first guard than a natural floor general.
At the least, adding a secondary playmaker of Dyson Daniels’s caliber would diversify New Orleans’s offense and deepen their bench.
In the Big Easy, Daniels could take his time developing off of the bench and would be able to contribute to a team that’s accustomed to getting impact play out of their rookies. He could focus on playmaking, spot-up shooting, and team defense while coming off of the pine.
He’s almost certain to gain valuable playoff experience for a squad that should have had the 15th pick but is in perfect position to acquire him in the draft with the eight-overall selection thanks to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Adding Dyson Daniels to a young core that already features Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Herb Jones, Jose Alvarado, and Trey Murphy III gives New Orleans a nearly full rotation of growing players with potential who are ready to contribute right away.
