The Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics have spent combined decades ruling the Association. Had the Celtics emerged victorious in this year’s NBA Finals, they would have passed the Lakers to have claimed the most championships in NBA history.

That was not the case. Instead, the Golden State Warriors extended their dynastic run. Still, looking ahead to 2022-23, the Celtics will surely be in a better position to increase their title count than the Lakers.
