The Los Angeles Lakers enter the action of the offseason having already signed their next head coach in Darvin Ham. Now, the Purple and Gold are in the midst of planning the next moves to build the roster for the 2022-23 NBA season.
With free agency expected to begin within the next couple of months, Ham and team GM Rob Pelinka are making a to-do list as to what’s next to try and build a championship roster.
There’s been a lot of speculation about what the Lakers can do with their roster this offseason. Russell Westbrook has been the focus of NBA trade rumors at times but appears likely to stick around to play out his contract.
Given how limited the Lakers will be with cap space, they will need to be intentional about how they are fielding their supporting cast LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook.
