These 3 Major Trades Would Shake Up 2022 NBA Draft

NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

As the 2022 NBA Draft approaches, more and more speculation has been made available for fans to consume and subsequently branch off into further theories. By following a paper trail of reports and rumors, it’s possible to map out a few predictions for what’s about to go down on June 23.

For example, it’s been theorized that the Orlando Magic have narrowed down their choice with the first-overall pick to two prospects and will decide between Auburn’s Jabari Smith Jr. and Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren on draft night.

In turn, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been linked to either Holmgren or Duke’s Paolo Banchero with the second-overall selection. That means that if Orlando is truly enamored with Jabari Smith Jr.’s shooting and elite defensive prowess, they could theoretically trade down into the Houston Rockets’ third spot and grab some additional assets in the process.

There are sure to be at least a couple of draft night trades, but fans and writers love to suggest more, as the temptation of the drama that occurs during one is simply too juicy to ignore.
