There has been a lot of speculation about what the Utah Jazz would do in the coming weeks with their NBA All-Star duo of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Their relationship is seemingly beyond repair, so something has to give.

From the sounds of it, Gobert looks like he will be the one on the move to appease Mitchell. This is certainly a risky proposition, as many NBA insiders believe it is a matter of when, not if, Mitchell requests a trade out of town himself.

For now, they will do everything they can to make him happy and keep him in Salt Lake City. If that includes moving on from Rudy Gobert, so be it.

In ongoing trade chatter around the league, Atlanta was believed to have made all players besides Trae Young available, but sources told B/R the team is now expected to retain De’Andre Hunter and agree to terms on a long-term contract extension.”

For Atlanta, one of the goals this offseason is to upgrade their defense. They were pitiful on that end of the court and until they can perform at a higher level, they will struggle to reach the heights they achieved in 2021 when they advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals.
