Los Angeles Lakers Receive: C Myles Turner
Indiana Pacers Receive: F Talen Horton-Tucker, G Kendrick Nunn, Future First-Round Pick
This trade package is about as good as the Los Angeles Lakers can do when scraping up their assets this offseason. This is a team lacking tradable contracts and draft capital, so they will make calls and see if it entices anyone.
To be clear, this likely isn’t a trade package that the Pacers would have any real interest in; they could probably do better. But, if negotiating with the Lakers, this is one package that would probably be put on the table.
Los Angeles would benefit greatly from the 3-point shooting that Turner would provide as they need as much spacing as possible around their Big 3 of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook. His presence would also allow for Davis to remain at power forward, where he prefers to play.
For the Pacers, they are getting some of what they were reportedly looking for ahead of the deadline in a deal centered around Turner. Talen Horton-Tucker is only 21-years old and has some potential, possibly filling their lack of building blocks on the wing.

Kendrick Nunn is included to help match salary after missing the entire 2021-22 season, but he is only two seasons removed from being the Rookie of the Year runner-up.
Indiana furthers their rebuild adding another future first-round pick as well. 2026 is the earliest the Lakers can send another first-round pick as the others have already been shipped out or tied into swaps.
