The Indiana Pacers began their rebuilding process ahead of the NBA trade deadline. Knowing that they had to finally make a change, they accepted the harsh reality of having to start moving on from some of their veterans.
Domantas Sabonis and Caris LeVert were the first two veterans on the move, but that was only the start. There could be numerous more veterans moved this offseason as the Pacers dive deeper into their rebuild.
One player that could be traded is Myles Turner. Turner looked like the most likely trade candidate ahead of the deadline before a foot injury knocked him out of the second half of the season. It has been reported that the Pacers are planning on holding onto Turner this offseason, but that has not deterred teams from making some calls.
Could one of those teams be the Los Angeles Lakers? Needing to shake things up themselves, the Lakers could pursue Turner to help fill their void at the center position as his skill set would fit perfectly, especially if the team is unable to move on from Russell Westbrook.
