2. Kyle Anderson
Ricky Rubio would solve two out of three of the Atlanta Hawks’ most pressing issues. Kyle Anderson could potentially fill all three checkboxes for them.
While he’s not the most reliable deep shooter, he did cash in on 36 percent of his triples on nearly five attempts per game in 2020-21. Even when the jumper isn’t falling, though, Slo Mo can still impact the game on both ends of the floor in a multitude of ways.
Anderson’s one of the most intelligent passers in the NBA, regardless of position. At 6’9 with a 7’2 wingspan, he has the size to find his teammates open from any and every possible angle on the floor. He uses his unique cadence and flowy handles to glide his way through the lane and create opportunities for his cutters and spot-up shooters.
His vision and willingness to share the rock would make it perfect to act as either a secondary playmaker alongside Trae Young or as the backup floor general when his star point guard needs a breather.

On defense, despite his limited athleticism, his blend of strength, length, and IQ allows him to be one of the most disruptive help defenders in the league. While he can’t slide laterally as quickly as others at his position, his timing and discipline still make him one of the better perimeter defenders on the wings.
It’ll be quite a long shot to try to sign him to a deal worth around $6 million per year, but it would be the steal of the offseason if the Hawks were able to poach him in unrestricted free agency — especially if he can shoot even league-average from beyond the arc in the ATL.
