Miami Heat Receive: F Tobias Harris
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Kyle Lowry, G/F Duncan Robinson
For both sides involved, this is a marriage of convenience more than a meaningful roster upgrade.
For the Miami Heat, they’re taking an opportunity to cut ties with Kyle Lowry ahead of schedule. Tobias Harris is a solid addition to this club. They need floor spacing alongside big man Bam Adebayo. Still, this deal is mostly about shedding Lowry and Robinson’s deals.
On the other hand, the Sixers are opting to get off of Harris’ deal. They’ll be hoping that Lowry’s postseason struggles had more to do with his hamstring than his advanced age (36).
Realistically, both teams are gambling on Kyle Lowry here. We know who Robinson is: a high-end floor spacer with such severe defensive limitations that he’s virtually unplayable in the postseason.

If Lowry regains his former touch, this is a steal for the Sixers. If he doesn’t, it’s one for the Heat. If the Heat feel they need more value than Harri in return, maybe a three-team deal could work here.
