3 Dream Offseason Trade Targets For Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Los Angeles Lakers’ first order of business this NBA offseason has been completed, as they found their next head coach. Darvin Ham, formerly an assistant coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, will be leading the team next season, taking over the job from Frank Vogel.

Ham will likely have a much different roster to coach than the one that Vogel did at the end of the 2021-22 season. Los Angeles missed the playoffs, not even qualifying for the NBA Play-In Tournament, which should lead to some major changes this offseason.

There is only so much the Lakers front office can do, as this is a franchise void of many tradable assets and draft capital. But, Rob Pelinka will have to think of something, otherwise, he could be next on the chopping block.

Russell Westbrook has been in a lot of mock trades, but Lakers brass reportedly wants to hold onto him. That could be posturing from their side, hoping to improve his stock as much as possible. Anthony Davis and LeBron James have been mentioned as possible trade candidates as well to help restock the assets.
