It’s been a wild ride for Jonathan Isaac over his NBA career to date. It’s hard to believe he’s already 24: it feels like we’ve barely seen him play.
That’s because we haven’t.
Injuries have limited Isaac’s career significantly so far. It’s a shame. When he’s active, he looks like he’s got the potential to be one of the very best defensive players in the National Basketball Association.
He may still have that upside. Unfortunately, the Orlando Magic may have run out of patience while watching him fail to achieve it. Having just landed the number one pick in the NBA draft, they’re likely to draft a player that replaces him in either Jabari Smith Jr. or Chet Holmgren.
