D’Angelo Russell

Once again for those in the back: the LA Clippers need a point guard.

D’Angelo Russell may be less talented than Kyrie Irving, but he’s at least more reliable. As a third option behind Leonard and George, he’s perfectly qualified. He’d still give this Clippers team a more dynamic offense.

He may even be a better fit. If D’Angelo Russell is more skilled than Irving in any facet of the game, it’s distribution. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both arguably lacking in that area, Irving will stir a drink that often remains unstirred for the Clippers.

He’s also rumored to be available this summer. It may be that the Timberwolves were turned off by his lackluster performance in the 2021-22 playoffs. Alternatively, it may simply be that they’d rather get the ball in Anthony Edwards’ capable hands more often
