The Miami Heat lost in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, officially starting their NBA offseason. Despite making it as far as they did, the Heat looks like a team that is going to try and swing a big trade this offseason.
The Heat can make a compelling offer for any star that is looking for a change of scenery this offseason. Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, and some draft compensation would be the bulk of a trade package that they can offer.
Donovan Mitchell is reportedly open to joining the Heat should he request a trade from the Utah Jazz. Another player to keep an eye on is Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards, whom Bleacher Report believes will end up in South Beach.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, a paid subscription publication, the Miami Heat are legitimate suitors for Beal this offseason. That would be a huge addition for a team that was knocking on the doorstep of playing for the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Teams around the league would be put on notice as Beal is one of the best players in the NBA. Adding him to a group that just won the most games in the Eastern Conference and likely includes Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Kyle Lowry would be quite a coup for Pat Riley to pull off.
Pulling off a trade of this magnitude will not be easy. Sign-and-trade deals are always complex and this one certainly would be. Beal is seeking a max contract and he has given no indication that he actually wants to leave Washington. But, should he let them know that he is going to leave, engaging in sign-and-trade talks would benefit the Washington Wizards.

If Bradley Beal is looking to land with a team that will provide him a chance to compete right away, the Miami Heat are an excellent option. Miami is built to win now and Beal would help push them over the hump that they were unable to get over this season.
