Indiana Pacers Receive: F Kyle Anderson (Sign & Trade), G Tyus Jones, F Ziare Williams, 2023 First-Round Pick (MEM)
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: C Myles Turner, G Malcolm Brogdon
Memphis Grizzlies Receive: C/F Anthony Davis
As a small-market team, the Indiana Pacers are known to avoid complete teardowns. Still, they did trade Domantas Sabonis for Tyrese Haliburton at this year’s deadline.
This package makes sense for them because it allows them to stay competitive while also getting younger and more future-focused. They’re getting two solid rotation players in Anderson and Jones, a high-upside sophomore in Williams, and a valuable first-round pick.
Meanwhile, if any center is built to maximize Westbrook, it’s Myles Turner. His career 34.9% accuracy from deep makes him a much more viable stretch big man than Davis.

Brogdon would be an appropriate backcourt mate for the former MVP as well. This trade could make the Los Angeles Lakers better next season.
The Lakers are in a weird place. Trading Westbrook may prove harder than restructuring the team to accommodate him. If that’s how they feel, trading Davis may be the best course of action.
If they decide it is, they may want to call the Memphis Grizzlies first.
