Brooklyn Nets Receive: C Deandre Ayton
Phoenix Suns Receive: G/F Ben Simmons
Even though this deal would not be complicated, it would certainly be a blockbuster because of the names involved.
The Brooklyn Nets acquired Ben Simmons in the middle of the season in a deal that sent James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers. This was supposed to take the Nets to the next level but Simmons was unable to get on the court for the remainder of the regular season or throughout the playoffs.
Now, after getting a taste of what the Sixers dealt with for years, could Brooklyn be fed up with Simmons already?
If so, the former point guard could be the piece going back to Phoenix. He would be able to resurrect his career a bit with a group that is ready to win right away. In return, the Nets would get a piece down low for years to come.
