The Indiana Pacers stumbled their way into a rebuild when they were able to move Domantas Sabonis to the Sacramento Kings for budding guard Tyrese Haliburton at the NBA trade deadline.
Adding a young player of Haliburton’s pedigree instantly shifts both the fortunes and direction of a franchise. Now that they’ve acquired a new foundational cornerstone, it’s time for Indiana to reset the roster around their new prized prospect.
In the trade, they also acquired veteran sniper Buddy Hield. He along with Myles Turner will need new homes for next season and should be traded either this summer or before the 2022-23 trade deadline.

But by finishing the year with Indiana, he was able to rehabilitate his injury, return to the court, and rebuild some of his trade value.
