OK, not really. Still, the Heat often find themselves associated with the league’s biggest names. Ever since LeBron James took his talents to South Beach, they’ve loomed over the league as a potential superteam.
They don’t need Kevin Durant. They’re already an Eastern Conference Finalist. Of course, they’d still love to bring him into the fold.
He’ll come at a cost. The Nets would likely ask for Bam Adebayo first. A realistic package may include him, Tyler Herro, and a draft pick. The Miami Heat would have to consider it. Pairing Durant with Jimmy Butler should put them firmly in the race for the NBA title.
