Worst Landing Spot: Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to Jerami Grant a lot in recent months. But, their package of Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, and a future first-round pick has been said to not be enough to get the job done.
Jerami Grant should hope that continues to be the case, as landing with the Lakers is the worst spot for him. For starters, his wish to remain a top option offensively would be out the window playing for the Lakers.
Grant would be at best the Lakers’ third option in this lineup behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Depending on how things shake out with Russell Westbrook, he could even be the fourth option, which isn’t what he wants.
Figuring out what position he would play is also a challenge. He could be out of position for a majority of his minutes depending on how the rest of the roster is filled out. Davis prefers playing power forward and at this stage in his career, that is likely where James is best suited for as well.

That is three players who need a lot of minutes at the same position, which means someone is out of position, most likely Grant as the least established of the three. While Grant’s skill set should mesh well with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, his fit in the Lakers’ lineup is one that would be difficult to figure out.
