Best Landing Spot: Portland Trail Blazers

If Jerami Grant is going to be traded this offseason, he should hope that it is in a deal to the Portland Trail Blazers. Portland provides Grant everything that he is looking for in his next team should it not be the Pistons.

Grant would be the No. 2 option, at worst, behind superstar point guard Damian Lillard. Retaining his offensive chances is important to him and with the Trail Blazers, he would certainly receive them. Even as the No. 2 option, CJ McCollum averaged at least 17.8 shots per game since stepping into a starting role.

Playing alongside Lillard would also provide Grant the chance to improve his efficiency and get more open looks than he has seen in Detroit. Defenses would load up on him, but with the Trail Blazers, that won’t be possible with Lillard commanding so much attention.

The Trail Blazers have pretty much a clean slate when it comes to the roster as they want to build around Lillard. Grant as the No. 2 would provide them some versatility, as he can fill several roles on the roster.
