With the 2022 NBA Draft Lottery occurring last week, we now know the entire order for the draft that will take place on June 23rd 1-58. There are only 58 selections in this year’s draft, not 60 because the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat each forfeited second-round picks as a result of the tampering investigations involving each franchise.

This year’s draft class already has a trio that seems to be pulling away as the consensus top picks in the draft. Right now, Jabari Smith Jr. of Auburn looks to be the most popular player mocked to go first overall.

Not far behind him are Paolo Banchero of Duke and Chet Holmgren of Gonzaga. Unless someone in the top three falls in love with another prospect, those three players are expected to hear their names called first when the Orlando Magic, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Houston Rockets come on the clock with picks one, two, and three.

This year, we can expect to see a lot of teams trying to maneuver around the draft board. There are several teams with multiple first-round picks, which could mean they try and bundle selections to try and move up for a specific prospect.
