Best Landing Spot: Houston Rockets
A backcourt of Jalen Green and Jaden Ivey would be FUN – rims beware.
The Rockets aren’t close to contention, they’re developing plenty of young talent as things stand. Though they’ve recently worked to see what Kevin Porter Jr. can offer, they could stand to add a high-lottery talent to the backcourt.
Jalen Green had a slow start to his rookie season but came into his own as it progressed. Green averaged over 20 points per game from the start of February onward. Shooting 39.3% from deep in that period, Green proved to be as much of a threat from deep as he is with a runway to the basket.
Jaden Ivey has a similar propensity for unleashing highlight dunks and could be an exciting partner to Jalen Green. The two are both dangerous, versatile offensive threats, and could keep defenses on edge night-in and night-out.

The Rockets also have a promising big Alperen Şengün on the roster. Şengün possesses passing skills reminiscent of MVP Nikola Jokic and could unlock the slashing talents of Jaden Ivey from the post.
Houston is a team with low expectations, which is helpful for an exciting rookie like Ivey. Rookies rarely contribute significantly to wins in the NBA, and a player who will look to be featured on offense as much as Ivey needs a place for his game to develop without the pressure of contention. Houston would be the perfect spot for Jaden Ivey.
