Bad Landing Spot: Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic would be a tough fit for Ivey.
The Magic have been struggling ever since the departure of Dwight Howard all the way back in 2012. The franchise still finds itself in a rebuilding status.
Orlando has promising guards selected from recent drafts in Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs. Though neither has captured national attention, both have shown promise in their young careers. Cole Anthony averaged 16.3 points and 5.7 assists this season.
Jalen Suggs posted a quieter 11.8 points and 4.4 assists in his rookie season. Still, the two guards have shown flashes of star ability, and the Magic will likely look to continue to feature them moving forward.

Adding Ivey would simply crowd the backcourt for an Orlando team that has struggled to develop young talent. Orlando has Markelle Fultz, RJ Hampton, Terrence Ross and Gary Harris filling out their guard room, so room in the rotation is sparse.
Ivey would have trouble finding consistent minutes in Orlando among all the guards on the roster. In addition, playing for the struggling franchise wouldn’t allow him the veteran mentorship that he may need to blossom as a player.
