Looking at this hypothetical trade, it’s hard to believe that it feels plausible. Seeing Westbrook’s name attached to a first-round pick in exchange for three role players feels wrong.

Yet, it’s entirely realistic.

That’s how far the star point guard has fallen from grace. The Lakers will be lucky to retain any value for him this summer. This may not be a dream scenario for the organization.

In all likelihood, dream situations went out the window a long time ago.
