3. Orlando Magic For Markelle Fultz
It takes two to tango, so finding a trade partner in the NBA is not always an easy thing to do. Matching up needs and what you have to offer a team can prove difficult, but the Knicks and Orlando Magic could come together on a deal this offseason.
The Magic have a surplus of backcourt options in Markelle Fultz, Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs. Given their shortcomings as 3-point shooters, it is hard to get them on the court at the same time. With R.J. Hampton, another backcourt option, the Magic could look to alleviate that logjam and upgrade another area of the team, such as on the wing.
The Knicks need backcourt help but have plenty of depth on the wings. New York needs to open some playing time for their younger players on the wing, so a deal could be made here.
Would a Cam Reddish for Markelle Fultz and a future first-round pick be something each team has an interest in? If the Knicks don’t unload Alec Burks or Evan Fournier, it will be tough finding minutes for Reddish and Quentin Grimes. They would find a sizable role in Orlando, who has a gaping hole at the small forward spot right now.

Markelle Fultz would step right into the starting point guard spot in New York. He is a long time removed from the issues that plagued him when the Philadelphia 76ers picked him first overall and has turned into a solid player. He offers good size for two-way play and is a good playmaker as well.
While not a star, Markelle Fultz is only turning 24-years old in May and could be the long-term answer as the starting point guard in New York. He is under contract for a reasonable $16.75 million per season through 2024.
