Paul George
The LA Clippers need a point guard. James Harden, in the modern context, is essentially a point guard. Could these two teams shock the world with a trade?
It may not be as crazy as it sounds. There’s a case to be made that Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are redundant. They may be the two most similar stars in the NBA. The Clippers could swap George for Harden and achieve better floor balance.
Meanwhile, the Sixers land a wing again with this deal. George may not be quite the playmaker that Ingram and Siakam are, but he’s arguably a better shot creator. He’s also, inarguably, a better perimeter defender than either.
Look, we know the Sixers won’t trade Harden this summer. They fought too hard to bring him on as a half-year rental. They’ll be hoping he can slay his playoff demons next year and take them to the promised land.
