The New York Knicks are a team that should be looking to shake things up this NBA offseason when it comes to their roster. The team came plummeting back to Earth during the 2021-22 season, finishing in 11th place, after earning the No. 4 seed the season before.

Numerous things played into the Knicks’ struggles. The lack of a point guard is likely at the top, as Alec Burks handled the role for a majority of the season. Kemba Walker and Derrick Rose just didn’t pan out, as Walker was removed from the rotation twice for ineffectiveness and Rose played in only 26 games.

This offseason that has to be addressed if New York wants to get back on track. They will scour the market for a starting point guard whether it is signing a free agent or acquiring one via trade.

Another position that could be of need for the Knicks is the center spot. Mitchell Robinson is heading into unrestricted free agency and it doesn’t sound as if the two sides are close to working out an extension. Robinson is eligible to sign a four-year deal up to $55.6 million but has yet to get an offer close to that.
