Indiana Pacers Receive: G Kemba Walker, G/F Cam Reddish, F/C Obi Toppin
New York Knicks Receive: G Malcolm Brogdon

This would be the scenario if the Pacers brass deems that Myles Turner is still young and talented enough to be a part of their core moving forward. Instead of shipping out their Defensive Player of the Year-caliber center, they send out veteran point guard, Malcolm Brogdon, instead.

In Brogdon, the New York Knicks would be adding a steady hand to run their offense; someone who will put up consistent numbers in a surefire, if not a little boring, manner. In 2020-21 — his last full, healthy season — he averaged 21.2 points and 5.9 assists while shooting 45 percent from the field and 39 percent from deep.

Brogdon may not have the flashiness or the personality that the Knicks fans have been craving from a true star, but he’ll certainly put up All-Star caliber numbers in New York.

Adding Brogdon’s veteran savvy and decision-making will help stabilize a young and erratic Knicks squad. He’ll also be another positively impactful perimeter defender on a team that’s severely lacking in that department.

Since Brogdon is older than Myles Turner, his price tag should be less steep. The Knicks in this deal hold onto Quickley and instead ship out Kemba Walker who was arguably the most disappointing addition for them last season.

Walker gets another chance to revive his career in Indiana before his contract expires at the end of the 2022-23 season. The Pacers could either flip him before the trade deadline for more youth or future assets or just let his salary figure come off of the books at the conclusion of the league year.
