Making the Case: Dallas Mavericks
It comes down to one harsh truth: as great as Dwight Powell has been for Dallas this past season, it’s much easier to replicate his production than it is to find a player of Nikola Vucevic’s ilk.
Although Vuc has relatively struggled since coming to the Chicago Bulls, he’s still averaged an impressive 18.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while shooting 47 percent from the floor and 34 percent from beyond the arc.
Vucevic gives Luka Doncic an interior presence to counterbalance his perimeter creation; something that he should have had with Porzingis on his team but never quite got to enjoy as KP continually disappointed as a post threat.
Vucci Mane would ensure that Dallas has someone who can score with his back to the basket and take pressure off of Luka, especially with the shot clock winding down.

Vuc can also spread the floor for Luka and the Mavericks’ other ball handlers without sacrificing any size. Again, he does have his defensive deficiencies, but Dallas should be able to find a good offense-defense center rotation in free agency and has the bodies to surround Luka and Vuc with quality defenders to offset their weaknesses.
Of course, Dallas has the talent to stay put and might deem Dwight Powell too integral to their success to sacrifice in a deal. This trade does offer its merits, though, and isn’t too relatively pricy.
