Making the Case: Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls started hot before falling to the middle of the pack in the Eastern Conference. It will be interesting to see how the front office approaches the offseason.
If the goal is to clear some calf space heading into the 2023 season, the Bulls can do so by moving Nikola Vucevic. He has one year left on his deal and is owed $22 million. As for Jakob Poeltl, he can be a stopgap option this season with many possibilities.
When looking at Poeltl’s contract, the Bulls could move him at the trade deadline or bring him back on a new deal next offseason.
If the Bulls want to offer him an extension, his price tag would be lower than Vucevic’s.
