The Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards both find themselves in similar, precarious situations this NBA offseason.
Neither team is rebuilding, so conversely, we should assume that both are contending. Yet, neither team looks particularly close to an NBA championship. More significantly, either could part ways with a star shooting guard this offseason.
Of course, the similarities end there. The Bulls just had their best season in some time, finishing 46-36 and losing in the first round vs the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Wizards were not so successful in 2021-22. With Bradley Beal missing much of the year due to injury, this team finished 35-47 and failed to even qualify for the play-in tournament.
