Anyone who’s read an NBA rumor over the past couple of months knows that Donovan Mitchell’s status in Utah is uncertain. The team just wrapped up a very disappointing 2021-22 season. Anybody on this roster may be up for grabs.

That includes Donovan Mitchell. In fact, he may not care how the front office wishes to proceed. It appears the star shooting guard could demand a trade regardless.

If he does, the Memphis Grizzlies should put forth their best offer. Pairing Ja Morant with Donovan Mitchell instantly gives them one of the best, and youngest, backcourts in the entire NBA. Mitchell could function as an alpha scorer while Morant served as the primary offensive engine.
