Dallas Mavericks
Another contender that could use a little more firepower offensively is the Dallas Mavericks. They rely heavily on Luka Doncic to carry the load on that end of the court and they find the most success when surrounding him with shooters.
The Mavericks could certainly use some help when it comes to shooting and scoring, especially if Dallas is unable to keep Jalen Brunson this offseason. The team’s shortcomings on the wing were made even more evident when Tim Hardaway Jr. went down with an injury.
Hield would be a great replacement for him in the lineup should Dallas look to move him in a separate trade. The Oklahoma product showed that he is more than just a 3-point shooter during his tenure with the Pacers, making what would have been a career-high 54.9 percent of his 2-point attempts.
That kind of improving offensively versatility would only be heightened playing alongside someone of Doncic’s caliber. He would get more open jump shots than he has ever seen in his career, providing the team with another spot-up specialist to join Reggie Bullock, Dorian Finney-Smith and Maxi Kleber.

The Dallas Mavericks finished the regular season 19th in 3-point percentage, making 35 percent of their attempts. Knowing now how good their defense is, they can overcome Hield’s shortcomings on that end of the court if he can shoot his career percentage from 3-point range.
