Best Landing Spot: Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers won’t have the money necessary to acquire Zach LaVine outright in free agency but with a persuasive enough pitch, they could convince him to request a sign-and-trade to join them.
It would probably take a lot to convince the Chicago Bulls to trade LaVine to a division rival but adding his scoring prowess and athleticism is the kind of move that could turn a feisty Play-In Team into a true title contender. The Cleveland Cavaliers have everything they need outside of a number one option level scorer.
While LaVine would likely lead the Cleveland Cavaliers in scoring, Darius Garland would be the actual first option and leader of the team. Garland has proven to be a floor general beyond his years, with elite command of his offense and pick-and-rolls.
Jarrett Allen gives the Cavaliers a legitimate All-Star caliber presence in the middle, prone to swatting any shot and throwing down any lob in his reach.

Evan Mobley came in as a rookie and was a transcendent talent on defense playing as a roamer and weakside shot-blocker. He and Allen give Cleveland a retro twin towers lineup that gave the league fits.
Adding a scorer of LaVine’s ilk into that mix would give the Cleveland Cavaliers a perfect balance of offense and defense. His ability to create his own shots from any spot on the court would alleviate pressure off of Darius Garland who often had to singlehandedly push Cleveland’s offense along last season.
