2. Brooklyn Nets
Like the Chicago Bulls, the Brooklyn Nets were a playoff team whose lack of an interior force was severely exposed and exploited in their first-round loss. The Nets must know by now that they can no longer rely on their geriatric big man rotation of former All-Stars.
LaMarcus Aldridge, Blake Griffin, James Johnson, Paul Millsap, and Andre Drummond all appeared in games for Brooklyn in this past season. Aside from Drummond, who is a free agent this offseason, all of those players are well past their primes.
With only Nicolas Claxton left as a reliable big on the roster, the Brooklyn Nets will have to get creative to reinforce their backline this summer.
Even if Ben Simmons returns at some point next year, the Nets need at least one more big who can be counted on to supply interior defense and rebounding.

Richaun Holmes would check both of those boxes, bring youth to a team full of veterans, and add athleticism to a squad that lacked explosiveness this postseason.
The Brooklyn Nets need to remain on the Kings’ pulse to see what kind of depth they could claim as their own.
