The Chicago Bulls had a fine 2021-22 NBA season, but describing it with any stronger an adjective would be too generous.
They lost in the first round of the playoffs against a Bucks team they never had a chance of beating. They never looked the part of serious contenders. Obviously, there is substantial room for improvement here.
Meanwhile, Nikola Vucevic’s season was…something less than fine. The right word might be “bad”. The veteran center’s three-point accuracy cratered, from 38.8% in 2020-21 to 31.4%. That’s a dive from above to below average. Vooch is highly skilled, but he’s also a known defensive liability. If he’s not spacing the floor, he’s not adding value.
Provided that the Bulls retain Zach LaVine, they may look to move on Vucevic. It’s possible that an attack fueled by the soon-to-be free agent and DeMar DeRozan would suffice on offense, and that a defensive big man would suit the team better.

If that’s the case, the Dallas Mavericks might have an interest in Vucevic. They could reason that his three-point shooting is likely to return to normal alongside Luka Doncic’s elite playmaking.
If they’re interested, here are two trade packages that land Vucevic in Dallas.
