Making the Case: Golden State Warriors
This would be a shocking trade because of the part that the Warriors are playing. Golden State put together the best shooting backcourt in NBA history, and it would be a complete shock to the basketball world.
If this trade were ever made, it would have to be for one reason — Jordan Poole.
The Warriors have seen Poole take a huge step this season, especially in the playoffs. He has been one of the Warriors’ top scorers throughout the postseason and has shown that he can get it done in many ways. Being in his third year in the league, Poole is cheap, and this would allow the Warriors to reshape a bit.
If Golden State believes that Poole can take over the shooting guard role next to Curry, it would make sense for the front office to want to bolster the frontcourt. Anthony Davis is a do-it-all center that can venture out to three-point range.
