The LA Clippers are already led by two of the NBA’s elite wing defenders in, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. Adding an elite rim protector to go along with would bring an anchor to a unit could present many intriguing options for their defense.
Rudy Gobert is as good as it gets defensively, but his offensive game continues to improve. Some critics say that he does not have an impact from over three feet away. While that is true, isn’t it a skill to put yourself in a position to score around the rim?
There would not be many holes on either end when looking at the Clippers lineup with Gobert plugged in. However, there is room to add another game-changing talent with an elite skill. The NBA’s best rim protector would check that box.
It would be an expensive trade, but there would not be many teams as well-rounded as the Clippers.
