John Wall
This may be obvious. We’ll state it anyway: if the Houston Rockets don’t buy John Wall out, there’s no chance of him landing on the LA Clippers.
They certainly won’t be trading for his $47 million dollar contract, even if it’s expiring. They’d have to part with one of Kawhi Leonard or Paul George to do so. Obviously, that would be utterly insane.
If the Rockets do agree to a buyout with Wall, the Clippers should pounce. Granted, he’s a mystery box. He didn’t suit up in 2021-22. When he did play in 2020-21, he looked like the best player named in this article.
Wall averaged 20.7 points and 6.9 assists per game as a Houston Rocket that season. Sure, his efficiency was mediocre. He was also the best player on a tanking team. If he was surrounded by superstars like Leonard and George, along with offensive weapons like Powell and Reggie Jackson, who know what he might be able to do.

With any luck, he’d resemble the player that earned that $47 million contract in the first place.
