Derrick Rose
Unlike Ricky Rubio, Derrick Rose is not a free agent this summer. The LA Clippers would have to trade for him. He’s also not the facilitator that Rubio is. It may seem as if he’s not the same quality of fit.
Perhaps not. He’d still be a nice addition to this team. For starters, he’s a much more reliable floor-spacer than Rubio. He’d enhance Kawhi Leonard and Paul George’s game by virtue of being behind the arch.
He’s also a three-level scorer that puts constant pressure on defenses. With a move for Rose, the Clippers would be looking at increasing their pure firing power.
Furthermore, Rose isn’t a pure gunner. He contributed 4.0 assists with only 1.5 turnovers per game as a member of the New York Knicks last season. With less scoring responsibility and better scorers around him, those numbers could look even better as a member of the Clippers.
