How This Deal Impacts Utah Jazz
This hypothetical trade was made in conjunction with the Utah Jazz also trading away center, Rudy Gobert. But, even if this was a standalone trade for Utah, it would be an interesting one for the team.
The biggest need this season that the Jazz failed to address was a versatile wing player. Terance Mann would provide that to them and on a team-friendly deal. Mann has three years and $25.9 million remaining on his contract and the strides he has made would make him a solid upgrade for the Jazz rotation.
Marcus Morris would help provide Utah with some small-ball options. The Jazz has struggled for years to combat teams that go small. The Clippers were one of the teams that terrorized them with small-ball but now they would have some pieces to go up against it.
Brandon Boston Jr. is only 20-years old and gained valuable experience from his playing time this season as a rookie. Built like Brandon Ingram, he brings a ton of energy to the court and there is immense potential to unlock. He was the No. 4 recruit in the 2020 class, so he has some skills to hone and develop.

Parting ways with Mike Conley Jr. would leave a huge void at the point guard position, but the Jazz would still be able to contend with the pieces they are bringing back. The first part Gobert trade brought back Eric Bledsoe, who could step into the starting role.
The potential crown jewel for the Jazz in this deal with the Clippers is the 2027 first-round pick swap. Leonard and George will be 35 and 36 years old by that time, so it is anyone’s guess how much contending Los Angeles would be doing.
