Making the Case: Golden State Warriors
It is just the second year of James Wiseman but it is already time to start wondering if this experiment will work out for the Golden State Warriors.
Wiseman suffered a torn meniscus last season and was forced to sit out this year. As a rookie, Wiseman played just 39 games and averaged 11.5 points per game. He struggled from the field and did not have the impact that was expected. As of now, there is not much value around Wiseman following his injury so the front office will have a decision to make.
The Warriors are used to having decent big men down low but are more defensive-minded. Reference Zaza Pachulia and Andrew Bogut from years past.
At this point, the Warriors should try and take what they can get. Poeltl fits the bill as a productive big man with a proven track record that can take a backseat to the guards.
