Los Angeles Lakers Receive: C Nikola Vucevic, F Patrick Williams, F Javonte Green
Chicago Bulls Receive: Anthony Davis
Remember, we said this was the best package the Chicago Bulls could offer. Anthony Davis’ services were never going to come cheaply.
He may have had a down season, but he’s still a 29-year-old who isn’t far removed from top 5 player conversations. At the peak of his powers, Davis is a two-way force. He’s one of the most agile seven-footers in the league.
Need a primary rim protector? Davis is your man. Need a free safety roamer to clean up messes? Look to Davis. Whatever you need defensively, peak Anthony Davis can give it to you.
That’s the type of player you pay a premium for. A fringe All-Star and a recent fourth overall pick feels like a premium. From a pure value standpoint, this feels like a fair deal for both sides.
