New York made a few moves last offseason that just didn’t pan out as they had hoped. Kemba Walker played in only 37 games this season, as Tom Thibodeau removed him from the rotation for ineffectiveness and he battled chronic knee ailments.
Derrick Rose, who was supposed to combine with him at the point guard position, played in only 26 games himself.
Nerlens Noel was another player that was impactful during the playoff run in 2021 but disappointed during this past season. He appeared in even fewer games, only suiting up 25 times.
