The New York Knicks are going to be very active this NBA offseason. They followed up an excellent 2020-21 season with a very disappointing 2021-22 season, so some changes will come this summer.

New York made a few moves last offseason that just didn’t pan out as they had hoped. Kemba Walker played in only 37 games this season, as Tom Thibodeau removed him from the rotation for ineffectiveness and he battled chronic knee ailments.

Derrick Rose, who was supposed to combine with him at the point guard position, played in only 26 games himself.

Nerlens Noel was another player that was impactful during the playoff run in 2021 but disappointed during this past season. He appeared in even fewer games, only suiting up 25 times.

Consolidating some of those veterans is something that the Knicks will seriously consider this offseason. Alec Burks, Julius Randle, and Evan Fournier could also be on the block as New York should open up as many minutes as possible for their younger guys.

If they are going to swing a deal, they likely have a list of players they will target. More than likely, they will be looking for someone to fill their void at the point guard position. If not a point guard, a center could be needed depending on what happens with Mitchell Robinson.
