4 Bold Offseason Trade Ideas For LA Clippers To Consider

LA Clippers, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

After landing Norman Powell and Robert Covington via trade with the Portland Trail Blazers, the LA Clippers have assembled perhaps the deepest roster in the NBA. They’re stacked top to bottom with high-end role players and two-way athletes, pieces that any team would love to have one or two of.

Now, the Clippers just need their two star wings, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, to get healthy and stay that way for an entire title run.

Adding Powell and Covington to a team already chock full of wings has created bonus insurance in case either of their All-NBA forwards needs to miss time again in the future, but ultimately, Los Angeles’s title hopes lie on the broad shoulders of George and Leonard.

Still, despite the Clips’ surplus of talent, there are some moves that President Lawrence Frank could make to further improve the team’s title odds.

They still need a true point guard to settle the offense and set the table for Leonard and George. They could certainly improve at their starting center spot, as Ivica Zubac can easily be played off of the floor against certain teams.

Perhaps it’s time that the LA Clippers consolidate some of their talent and move several B-list players for an A-lister. Or at least they can better balance their roster by moving some of their wings for a true guard or big.
