Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets and Montrezl Harrell spent so much time linked in the past. Could they let the tenure end after just 25 games?
Charlotte has some decisions to make this offseason. It begins with who will be a cap casualty so they will have the room to sign both LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges long-term. The other will be how they will improve the frontcourt.
When looking at the free-agent class, there are only a handful of options. The Hornets have one in the building and should not let him leave. This is not to say that Harrell will come in and completely dominate as a starting big but he is an experienced big that can provide depth coming off the bench.
If the Hornets want to remain in playoff contention moving forward, they will need toughness and size to compete with the other bigs in the Eastern Conference for years to come. At this point, Harrell will be cheap and will not require a long-term deal.

This is a low-risk move for a player that the Hornets know well already. When going down the checklist, this might not be near the top but it could be on there somewhere for Charlotte.
