Aside from the Sacramento Kings, it’s debatable that there has not been a worse NBA franchise than the New York Knicks over the last decade. From the ownership to the product on the floor, the Knicks have been a disaster that is unlikely to change shortly.

After finishing as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference last season, the Knicks quickly showed that that was a fluke by missing the playoffs this time around.

Julius Randle received a contract extension and immediately took steps back. He averaged 20.1 points per game and shot 30.9% percent from three-point range, which was a considerable decline from last season.

Tom Thibodeau refused to play young prospects this season, which hindered their progress. Once the Knicks were eliminated, Thibodeau gave the youngsters a chance, and Obi Toppin stepped up. He showed that he could be a piece for the future, along with Immanuel Quickley coming off the bench.
