The Los Angeles Lakers are going to turn over every stone when it comes to upgrading their roster this offseason. After the disaster that was the 2021-22 NBA season, the front office is going to do whatever they can to ensure that isn’t replicated.
How they go about doing that is easier said than done. There is virtually no cap space to spend, as the Lakers will likely be rounding the roster out with players on veteran’s minimum contracts once again. That is life when you have three max players on your roster, such as the Lakers do, with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook.
It would seem like a given that the Big 3 is broken up this offseason, but what kind of offers will the Lakers receive, if any? They would like to move on from Westbrook, but he isn’t like to return much of significance unless Los Angeles attaches draft capital to him.
Davis would bring back a solid return, but if they want to have any chance at competing next season, he has to be on the roster with James.

With Tyrese Haliburton now in town as the team’s point guard of the future, Brogdon could be moved on from this offseason. What could it take to acquire him from the Pacers? Here are two trade packages that would bring Brogdon to Los Angeles.
