The 2021-22 NBA regular season has ended for the Los Angeles Lakers. After finishing 33-49 and outside the play-in tournament, the focus has officially turned to the offseason.
Two years removed from an NBA Championship in Orlando, Fla., in a bubble due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Anthony Davis played 40 games this season, in which the 29-year-old averaged 23.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.
Also, Davis’ streak of eight consecutive All-Star appearances came to an end this season, which was highlighted by his MVP performance in 2017 when he scored an All-Star Game record of 52 points as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans.
Davis has only played in 76 games in the last two seasons and averaged 22.5 points and 8.9 rebounds.
