Utah Jazz Receive: F Jonathan Kuminga, C James Wiseman, F Andrew Wiggins
Golden State Warriors Receive: C Rudy Gobert
This NBA trade scenario only transpires if the Utah Jazz is forced to hit the reset button. Barring a deep postseason run, that feels like a strong possibility.
After all, rumors of discord swirl around Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and the team itself. They had a wildly inconsistent 2021-22 season. It seems the relationship between the two stars has soured. It may be damaged beyond repair.
In that event, the Jazz could surely do worse than this rebuilding starter package. Jonathan Kuminga has real star potential.
James Wiseman has been a disappointment to date, but he’s hardly scratched the surface of his career. At one point, a smart Golden State Warriors organization saw enough in him to select him with the No. 2 pick.

Meanwhile, Wiggins is mostly here to make the money work. The Jazz could reroute him in a separate deal, but they may opt against it. At 27, he’s still young enough to be part of a quick rebuild, which is a route the Utah Jazz have historically taken.
Either way, the organization shouldn’t lose sleep over that aspect of the deal. They’re in this one for Kuminga above all else.
